The Plaza Reial is rectangular, and surrounded by semicircular rooftops - it was build in the 19th Century. Barcelona Beach
Barcelona’s attractive sea side offers the holidaymaker a four kilometre beach, which was extended in 1992 thanks to the event of the Olympic games in 1992 that gave Barcelona a milestone in its tourist development. The Olympic port and the old port Vell invite the visitor with numerous bars and restaurants. One has a beautiful view over the city and port from the Columbus observation tower, a 50 meter high tower with the statue of the explorer.
