Prague Tourist Attractions - Wenceslas Square - Karluv Most
The most famous and most photographed Prague's building is the Karluv Most (Karl bridge), which was built in 1357. It is part of an enormous schedule of work of Karl IV., in conjunction with the castle, which St. Veits cathedral and the university belong too. The establishment of these buildings was supervised by the Swabian architect Peter Parler (although today it admits that the building of the bridge began under master Otto). The Karl bridge replaces the earlier Judita bridge, from which only one of the two towers of the mark Strana gate Mal-Strana-Tors comes from. The bridge is quite monotonous but optically impressing as it is only one of the many statues standing on the parapet wall, which were added by Jesuits during the ant reformation.
