Vienna's Tourist Attractions - Spanish Riding School
Since 400 years the elegant Lipizzan stallions of the Spanish
Riding School demonstrate the high art of the dressage
riders. In the Lipizzan museum one can pursue the history of the
riding school and the horses. If one would like to experience the
famous horses in action, it is the easiest and cheapest way to join
them watching the morning training from Tues to Fr 10 to 12 am.
Tickets for the evening performances are more difficult to obtain
and very expensive. If however these expensive ticket fit in your
vacation budget make sure you book your seats well in advance. Dressage
shows generally take place from February to June and from September
to December. There is a gala performance on each Wednesday evening
and Sunday morning. Tickets can be up to 50 Euro per person. Tickets
for the classical Saturday morning show can be booked via the Internet
or a local travel agency office.
